Local Man Found Dead At Pawnee Lake
Just before 6:40 a.m. Friday, Lancaster County Sheriffs Office deputies were called to Pawnee Lake on a report of a dead body.
Investigators say 43-year-old Kirk Whisman was found dead on the dam, near the water.
They say Whisman was camping with his girlfriend and two friends.
The woman told authorities she couldnt find her Whisman when she woke up, so she went looking for him. Deputies said she found him dead by the waters edge and called authorities.
Investigators do not suspect foul play at this time.
An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death.
